One of our more fun pieces...
This piece was a an absolute joy and a chance for the imagination to run wild. Custom stencils and a major revamp/restoration of an old rimu flour cabinet. It even started with a vinyl top!
Fabulous mesh cabinet
This cabinet was very tired and had a dark brown streaky stain on it.
There were also parts of the cabinet that required filling so restoration of the rimu wasn't an option.
We repaired all the broken bits, removed the old hardware, filled the holes, gave it 2 coats of sealer to stop the stain bleed and then refreshed with a vintage white inside and a custom olde blue on the outside.
Replaced the broken battens and re-fixed the mesh.
We're really happy with the farmhouse look. A very interesting piece.
Offering something a little unique
This set of plain bedroom drawers was revamped as a functional decor item
It now has an interesting apothecary cabinet look as well as providing a great look and handy storage
Repurposing a fabulous antique
This french antique bakery table is around 150 years old. The owner loved this piece so much that she decided to incorporate it into her kitchen scheme
We designed a cabinet which was inserted within the cavity space. New vintage looking metal feet were added as the island needed to be raised and the old boards from the bottom shelf were cut down and used to dress the back of the island. The handles are repeated in the kitchen cabinetry bringing the whole look together
It's now the focal point of the kitchen where everyone gathers
A very special roll top bureau...
A treasured and beautifully crafted Indonesian bureau was in need of a refresh. We decided to go glam and painted it in a jet black including a powder blue insert on the desk top.
This included multiple drawers (including a couple of secret ones) and came complete with all it's original keys, such a clever craftsman would have made this. Solid teak.
This piece is utterly gorgeous and now sits pride of place in a home office.
